Bicycle maker Trek added Onshape to its development operations in hopes of bringing “new products to market faster,” the companies announced this week.
The Massachusetts software company, which makes a cloud-based product development platform, said its system would allow Trek engineers to simultaneously work on the same design from different locations while enabling easy access to design changes and analytics.
Trek Global Engineering Director Chad Manuell said the technology would help the Wisconsin-based company improve communication and “maintain our competitive edge” in advancing the cycling industry.
“I only want our people working on creating great stuff,” Manuell said in the announcement.
