An event that aims to communicate and demonstrate the latest research and products from the world of 3-D printing is planned for Detroit.
The conference and exposition called RAPID + TCT runs May 20-23 at Cobo Center. It's produced by SME, historically known as the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Scheduled speakers include Fast Company co-founder Bill Taylor and Dominik Rietzel, head of additive manufacturing at BMW Group. Also on the list of speakers is Naomi Murray, director of additive operations and additive technology at Stryker.
The conference includes an event where innovators get five minutes to pitch their ideas to an industry panel. The top-two innovations selected by the panelists will be presented later during the conference to business leaders from around the world.
