Denver, Colo., August 21, 2025 — Accuris, a provider of mission-critical engineering intelligence, has announced significant enhancements to its Bill of Materials (BOM) Intelligence platform. The platform has been augmented with the launch of Supply Chain Intelligence Disaster Alerts, a new premium feature that helps organizations navigate the impacts of unanticipated global events on electronic components within their BOMs.

Engineering and supply chain teams are continuously impacted by unexpected disruptions, from natural disasters to geopolitical events. These situations often impact component availability and pricing and require teams to quickly discover and identify alternatives to avoid production delays.

The addition of Disaster Impact Monitoring to Accuris’ BOM Intelligence platform delivers automated alerts when macro events – earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, volcanoes, cyclones – impact specific components or suppliers within an organization’s BOMs. The feature highlights affected BOMs and guides users through options to locate alternate parts or inventory in stock. This feature is critical for companies that depend on global suppliers, contract manufacturers, or regional distribution hubs.

The core capabilities of Disaster Impact Monitoring include:

  • Real-time alerts and tracking: Disaster Impact Monitoring provides users with automated email alerts when certain events may affect parts within their BOMs.
  • Visibility Enhancement: The feature provides detailed insights into event-affected BOMs and specific impacted parts, generating BOM-level impact summaries and directly linking to impacted components.
  • Actionable Workflows: The capability can identify alternate components, conduct real-time inventory location, and perform guided risk mitigation through structured workflows.

Sarita Benjamin, General Manager of Supply Chain Solutions at Accuris, said, “The ability to connect real-world events to component-level risk gives our customers a critical edge. In industries like electronics manufacturing, where component availability directly affects compliance, revenue, and customer commitments, this level of supply chain intelligence is essential for organizations.”

This disaster monitoring and alerting capability is included in the Supply Chain Intelligence module of BOM Intelligence. Disaster Impact Monitoring is now available as a premium add-on to the BOM Intelligence platform.
