Stackpole Electronics (Raleigh, NC) introduced the HCC Series for EV and hybrid power systems. The HCC series is designed for high current handling of more than 1400 amps and can be used in battery management systems (BMS), DC bus measurement and inverter output current monitoring.

The HCC Series provides a simple, direct and linear current monitoring solution for high current subsystems using an all-welded busbar shunt standard.

Features:

  • Available in resistance values of 100, 50 and 25 µOhm, allowing series to handle currents exceeding 1400 amps with minimal power loss
  • All-welded construction ensures robust mechanical design that delivers clean, linear output for highly accurate current measurement
  • Multiple resistance values and package sizes available to support wide range of electrified vehicle power requirements
  • Vertically integrated manufacturing allows for creation of custom sizes, shapes and specific resistance values to fit unique vehicle architectures
  • Supports move toward higher system voltages by providing cost-effective method for sensing current in propulsion motor drive systems
