SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina company has a Navy contract for up to $99 million over four years.

Advanced Technology International of Summerville was one of two competitors for the contract with the Office of Naval Research.

Work will be done for the Navy Manufacturing Technology Center for Innovative Naval Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing.

The Pentagon's contract announcement Wednesday said the first two orders are for $450,000. It had no other details.

Advanced Technology International manages research and development consortia for federal contracts.

In July, it received a three-year, $100 million contract to create and manage the Information Warfare Research Project Consortium for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Centers.
