A longtime Minnesota tooling manufacturer recently split its new high-volume precision manufacturing operations into an entirely new company.

Die Technology said the establishment of Nanotech Precision followed several years of manufacturing larger numbers of the tiny, complex instruments used by companies in the aerospace, electronics and medical device sectors.

Company president Dale Skoog told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that the new company plans to double its current footprint and anticipates strong growth in its debut year as it pushes the industry to “bring the size of our machined features a little smaller and a little more accurate.”
