Lucid Group has debuted the Lucid Air Sapphire, a new super-powerful fully electric sedan that will be available as a limited-production vehicle.
The Lucid Air Sapphire's three-motor powertrain will deliver over 1,200 hp, which the company said will allow the vehicle to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in less than two seconds and from zero to 100 mph in less than four seconds, and the standing quarter mile in under 9 seconds.
Lucid said it build in large carbon ceramic disc brakes as standard to give the Sapphire enough stopping power to match its performance.
Lucid Air Sapphire will be offered as a limited-production model, with deliveries planned in the U.S. and Canada next year. The price is $249,000 USD and $325,000 CAD.
