Electro Industries /GaugeTech (Westbury, NY) released new features for the Shark 270 revenue meter.
The meter’s optional Network card now offers SSL/TSL encryption, digital firmware signature, IPv4 and IPv6 support, configurable firewalls and simultaneous Modbus TCP/IP and DNP3 communication. The meter supports up to two separately addressable Network cards.
Additional features of the release include:
- Custom Modbus map configuration
- Enhanced 4GLTE cellular modem functionality
- An IRIG-B option card for time synchronization
- Digital firmware signature to verify meter’s firmware before updates
- Multiple communication and measurement capability upgrades
