Stryker today completed its previously announced acquisition of Vertos Medical, a company specializing in interventional pain management solutions for chronic lower back pain caused by lumbar spinal stenosis.
Stryker has been on an M&A hot streak recently. The company last month wrapped its acquisition of NICO, a privately held company providing a systematic approach to minimally invasive surgery for tumor and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) procedures, and care.ai, a privately held company specializing in delivering AI-assisted virtual care workflows, smart room technology and ambient intelligence solutions.

Stryker also recently bought MOLLI Surgical Inc., a privately held company specializing in the development of wire-free soft tissue localization technology for breast conserving surgery.
“The acquisition of Vertos Medical enhances our unique, non-surgical solutions for interventionalists addressing chronic lower back pain, while broadening our presence in ambulatory surgery centers," said Andy Pierce, Group President, MedSurg and Neurotechnology, Stryker. “We look forward to enabling physicians with the minimally invasive mild procedure so patients can reclaim their quality of life.”
The addition of Vertos Medical’s differentiated portfolio will strengthen Stryker’s impact in interventional solutions to address chronic pain.
