Rochester, New York-based Arnold Magnetic Technologies is a manufacturer of high-performance motors, magnets and thin metals. The Compass Diversified subsidiary recently acquired a state-of-the-art 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Woodstock, Illinois for its Precision Thin Metals and Alnico divisions.
Arnold will move its operations 14 miles from Marengo, Illinois, to the new facility in Woodstock, which is also in McHenry County. The company carefully selected the new location to be convenient for the existing workforce to make the transition.
The relocation is planned for late 2024 and will follow a structured, phased approach designed to minimize disruption.
According to Arnold CEO Dan Miller, the Marengo facility has been with the company since 1930. Next year, the company will celebrate its 130th anniversary.
