Industrial software firm Xometry hopes to raise thousands of dollars to aid a Florida machine shop severely damaged by Hurricane Michael earlier this month.

The company said most of Maritech Machine Inc.’s Panama City shop was destroyed in the storm. Maritech, one of the more than 2,400 shops belonging to Xometry’s Manufacturing Partner Network, provides precision machining and fabrication to customers in the defense, marine, construction, printing and other industrial sectors.

Xometry said it asked other network partners to assist Maritech and vowed to match donations, up to $5,000, to a GoFundMe page set up to benefit the company.
