AXN Automotive Systems, a supplier for the trailer, semi-trailer and aftermarket industries, opened its new axle facility in Louisville, Kentucky. The company expects the $14.7 million expansion into a larger, more advanced manufacturing space to enable new production capabilities, the launch of additional product lines and the creation of new jobs.

AXN added that it anticipates the site's production capacity will reach 100,000 axles annually.

The new factory features upgraded and expanded production technologies, including a custom, automated welding cell and a dedicated paint line. Other additions include improvements to material handling and inspection systems, such as runout equipment and quality control technology.

“Randoncorp is making Louisville an essential hub for its North American growth strategy," Louisville Economic Development Alliance CEO Trevor Pawl said. “We are excited to partner with AXN and Randoncorp as they build on Louisville’s proud legacy of manufacturing and continue to create opportunities for our community.”

AXN was founded in Louisville in 2009 and acquired by global mobility company Randoncorp in 2025. The supplier of undercarriage solutions also offers suspensions, slider subframes and related components.
