Aerospace Plant Closing in Washington; 130 Jobs Lost

In 2017, Triumph Composite Systems had some 600 workers in Spokane, Washington.

By Summer 2022, the remaining 130 employees will be out of work. 

The aerospace industry's financial instability hit the airplane parts factory hard. 

The company builds floor panels and ducting for Boeing Jets. 

According to the Spokesman-Review, the company's parent, Triumph Group, lost $309.3 million from April 1 to September 30, 2020. 

In 2020, Boeing delivered just 157 aircraft, down from 380 jets in 2019 and 806 in 2018, according to the Seattle Times

Boeing’s production hasn't been this low since 1973, when the company delivered 156 airplanes.
