Digital Detox Could Net $1000 and Free RV Use

The company hopes โ€œthis opportunity encourages you to step away from the social feed and out into the world.โ€

The coronavirus has created a number of new normals, including the need to seek more socially-distanced forms of recreation.

All the safer-at-home activities have also led to the increased use of smartphones, streaming content platforms and other digital products and services.

In response, SatelliteInternet.com, a site created to โ€œhelp people all over the U.S. find the best satellite internet plans,โ€ is launching their Digital Detox Challenge.

The site is giving one contestant up to $1,000 and paying for an RV rental in exchange for abandoning technology for 48 hours. Contestants need to be at least 25 years-old, legally able to drive, and are only eligible when camping in an RV at a national park.

The company hopes โ€œthis opportunity encourages you to step away from the social feed and out into the world.โ€ After the 48 hours, the company, of course, offers a number of internet hotspot options to get you back on the grid.
